So I'm not very good at keeping up with my blog... but I'm going to try and do better! Here goes...
This past weekend we made a journey up to Memphis, TN for a wedding. A good friend of ours from college was getting married and I couldn't wait to get together with everyone! We had friends from all over come into town for the festivities. I stayed out way too late both Friday and Saturday, but I was VERY proud of my pregnant self for hanging in there. They bride and groom had a Catholic wedding, which I have never experienced... I didn't realize they were SO LONG! It went by really quick, though... I guess because it was so different and interesting. The reception was FABULOUS! The food was wonderful - especially the cake :) and I didn't feel left out of the drinking festivities because I got to have my cranberry and club soda "fake" cocktail. The bride and groom are accomplished salsa dancers and did a little number for their "first dance". After their dance, all their other salsa buddies joined in. It was amazing to watch them! I only wish I could talk Mark into taking salsa lessons. Along with the salsa dancers, there were quite a few others that had their own "style" of dancing :). My good friend Beth ALWAYS steals the show with her dancing! She even made some cute little old lady's night by pulling her out onto the dance floor to join in on the YMCA. Another "great" dancer was our friend from Tampa, Brad. When Vanilla Ice came on, he totally kicked out some excellent "go white boy, go white boy go" moves. The sweet bride was very thoughtful and set us at a table with our good friends along with another couple who is expecting. She was about 4 weeks behind me... although she was barely showing - and here I was looking like I had swallowed a watermelon! We had a great time! I even danced a little bit - I always feel weird being the "pregnant lady" dancing. Baby Clay was kicking all night... I think he liked the music, or maybe it was all the cake I ate :).
